Mayor Jimmy Davis presented a proclamation to the members of the championship-winning Bayonne High School Marching Band this week. The band placed first at all six Regular Season US Bands Competitions and became US Bands Group 1A NJ State Champions in 2022.

The Bayonne High School Marching Band also won awards for Best Visual, Best Overall Effect, and Best Percussion at the State Championships. The BHS Marching Band was also designated the US Bands Group 1A National Championship Runner-Ups. The BHS Marching Ban also won awards for Best Overall Effect and Best Percussion.
