The Township of North Bergen continued a tradition on Wednesday afternoon, as another food truck paid a visit to the municipality.  The Cousins Maine Lobster food truck, a 2017 franchise business born out of the hit ABC television series Shark Tank, came to the housing development at 48th Street and Grand Avenue.

The New Jersey franchise is based in Freehold.  Husband and wife owners Savas and Victoria Alkoc have three food trucks in New Jersey, as well as a restaurant in Asbury Park.  They recently branched out to Pittsburgh and Ohio.  Their food truck has a wide variety of fresh seafood on the menu from the Atlantic Ocean in Maine.

You can order anything from lobster and shrimp tacos, to lobster rolls, to lobster grilled cheese or lobster quesadillas.  Hudson TV sampled the lobster tots, potato tater tots covered with fresh lobster, tomato, onions and a special sauce.  Let’s just say more of my assignments need to be as tasty as this one was…yum!!!

North Bergen will host future food trucks, with a variety of food options, in the coming weeks and months.  You can check out the township’s website and social media platforms to learn when and where these food truck visits will occur.
