North Bergen Man Charged With Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reports that on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 25-year old, North Bergen resident Nicholas Sanchez, following a child sex abuse material investigation.

Suarez says Sanchez has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child / possession of child sex abuse material.  He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus.  Sanchez was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny pending his first court appearance.

A press release from the Prosecutor’s Office states, “On December 15, 2023, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip that child sex abuse material was being stored on an online server. During the course of the investigation, it was determined Sanchez controlled the account.”

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Special Victims Unit, Cyber Crimes Unit, Narcotics Task Force, and North Bergen Police Department with the investigation and arrest.

The charges against Sanchez are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
