Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced this morning that a male was shot and killed in Jersey City shortly before 10 o’clock on Friday night, May 10, 2024.
The incident, which took place near Pearsall and Garfield Avenues, is under investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department. After receiving reports of shots fired in the area, Jersey City Police discovered 24-year old Resheed Wallace of Jersey City with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.
Suarez says Wallace was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:25 pm. The cause and manner of death are under investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
No arrests have been made as of 10:45 this morning.
