WEST NEW YORK, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to a sexual assault reported on July 27, 2024.
According to the investigation, the assault occurred around 1:30 a.m. near Hudson Avenue and 51st Street. The 40-year-old female victim reported that an unidentified male grabbed her by the hair and sexually assaulted her.
The individual sought for questioning was captured in images obtained during the investigation. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a light-colored shirt with “Originals” printed on both the front and back, dark jeans, and black and white sneakers. Photos of the person of interest have been released and are attached for public viewing.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, in collaboration with the West New York Police Department, is actively investigating the case. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident to contact the Special Victims Unit at 201-915-1234. All tips will be kept confidential.
