Secaucus, NJ – Over the past week, the Secaucus Police Department has been actively involved in several arrests, showcasing a broad spectrum of law enforcement activities ranging from traffic violations to more serious criminal charges.
On August 26, the week began with the arrest of Moustapha Sawadogo, 34, from Newark, NJ, during a routine motor vehicle stop for an outstanding warrant. Sawadogo managed to post bail and was released after receiving additional motor vehicle summonses. Later that day, Ivan Savych, 27, from Garfield, NJ, was taken into custody from the Bergen County Jail for an outstanding Secaucus warrant, unable to post bail, leading to his transfer to Hudson County Jail.
The same day saw Giancarlo Rodriguez, 23, of North Arlington, NJ, arrested for receiving stolen property, tampering with public records, and possession of burglary tools, among other charges. He was released after receiving his summonses. Marquis Johnson, 30, from East Orange, NJ, was also apprehended for multiple warrants, leading to his detention due to inability to post bail.
As the week progressed, on August 27, Bianca Edrington, 32, from Orange, NJ, was arrested for warrants from East Orange and Newark, and was transported to the East Orange Police Department. The following day, John Tracy, 59, from Jersey City, NJ, was caught with drugs and paraphernalia during an investigation into suspicious activity, adding to his arrest for an outstanding warrant.
By August 29, Jacquelin Velez, 31, from West New York, NJ, was stopped and arrested for multiple warrants from Guttenberg and Garfield, but was released on her own recognizance. The night of August 30 saw Delgar Thompson, 58, from Wilkes Barre, PA, arrested for driving while intoxicated, along with several other traffic violations.
The week’s activities continued with the arrest of Ari Arias Baldera, 27, from Brooklyn, NY, for an NCIC warrant, and Andrey Martinez-Aquino, 29, from Union City, NJ, for receiving stolen property related to a vehicle stop involving a stolen license plate.
The final day of the week, September 1, brought more arrests including Henilkuma Sheta, 25, from Jersey City, NJ, and Fradwin Garcia-Frias, 29, from Union City, NJ, both for outstanding warrants and traffic violations. The week concluded dramatically with Elvin Almonte, 19, from North Bergen, NJ, being arrested after a chase for eluding police, endangering others, and child welfare.
