UNION CITY, NJ – In the wake of recent school shootings at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, Union City Mayor Brian P. Stack has taken decisive action to ensure the safety of students while respecting constitutional rights. Mayor Stack, now the longest-serving mayor in Union City’s history, has announced an increase in police presence across all city schools. High schools will now see four officers, middle schools two, and even elementary schools will have one officer assigned.
