West New York got a jump on Halloween on Friday afternoon, as youngsters marched from Town Hall in the annual Ragamuffin Parade to Miller Park for the Trunk or Treat, Fall Festival.

There were children decked out in all sorts of costumes and there was plenty of candy to go around, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.  Bouncy houses, music and ghoulie fun was the order of the day!!!

Sponsored by Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners, the governing body wanted all the kids to have fun, but also to be mindful of their surroundings and to wait until their parents had an opportunity to inspect their “treats” before they ate it.

Many of West New York’s departments were on hand to give out the candy treats to the children.
