The Borough of East Newark invites residents to participate in this year’s Annual Toy Drive, dedicated to the memory of the late Eddie Negron. Eddie, was a cherished member of the East Newark community, who served both the police and fire departments. The Borough website says he “exemplified compassion and community spirit. Even while facing serious health challenges last year, Eddie dedicated his time to ensuring that children in our borough received gifts through the toy drive.”
This year, in honor of Eddie’s wish to make the 2024 drive the biggest and best ever, East Newark is rallying together to fulfill his dream. The public’s generous donations will help bring joy to local children at the annual Santa’s Workshop, a special event that brings holiday cheer to the families of East Newark.
