Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced the arrest of Sebastian Chevasco, a 20-year-old resident of North Bergen, following an investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.
Chevasco is charged with second-degree Sexual Assault (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(4)) and Simple Assault, a disorderly persons offense (N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1a(1)). The incident occurred on October 14, 2024, at a North Bergen residence, and the defendant is known to the victim.
He was taken into custody at his home on Friday, November 22, 2024, by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where he awaits his first court appearance.
