The works of four local artists were on display at the Musto Center in Union City on Saturday night, as the city celebrated Women’s History Month.
Three of the artists, Ruth Alvarado, Klaudia Pomales and Monica Chavarria, were in attendance and received a proclamation from Commissioner Maryury Martinetti. The fourth artist, Milena Solano, was unable to attend the event.
Each of the women thanked Mayor Brian Stack and the entire Union City Board of Commissioners for holding the exhibit and recognizing the contributions made by local, female artists to the culture of the community.
Approximately 50 people attended the gallery opening, which was free of charge to the public.
Commissioner Martinetti expressed her delight in providing a space for the artists to display their works.
