A multi-vehicle crash which occurred on River Road in North Bergen on Monday afternoon is under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.
The May 12, 2025 crash happened at approximately 2 p.m. According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a collision in the area of River Road and 74th Street. Responding officers found three vehicles at the scene – a Nissan Altima, a BMW X3, and a Lexus GX4 – that were involved in a crash. According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the driver of the Nissan, a 59-year old North Bergen male, suffered serious injuries and remains hospitalized at the Hackensack University Medical Center. The driver of the BMW, a 28-year-old West New York female, was treated for minor injuries at Palisades Medical Center.
