Non-profit organizations can register to attend Hudson County’s Fundraising Workshop, scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is organized by the Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs / Tourism Development and will be run by Support Center. The workshop will take place at the Hudson County Plaza Press Room, located at 257 Cornelison Avenue in Jersey City.
Support Center is a non-profit support organization that works with mission-driven groups to provide hands-on training, coaching and consulting services for non-profits in the metropolitan area.
According to Hudson County Executive Craig Guy, the interactive training workshop will simplify the fundraising process for non-profit organizations in Hudson County, providing tools and instilling confidence to grow support for their individual causes. “On July 15th, Hudson County is bringing a one-day workshop to assist our non-profit organizations in their mission to support communities. This workshop is crafted to support non-profits in building long-standing and sustainable relationships with donors – a key component of fundraising. There are only 30 slots available, so I encourage all non-profit organizations in Hudson County to register today!”
Gina Hulings, the Director of Cultural & Heritage Affairs / Tourism Development stated, “This workshop is an informative session designed to help non-profit organizations navigate fundraising successfully through practical strategies that make an impact. Non-profit organizations provide critical resources, foster community engagement, and fill in the gaps of service throughout Hudson County, and we’re thrilled to work with Support Center to offer this training to our non-profit community.”
Kerry Watterson, Support Center Facilitator, added, “I’ve learned a few key lessons to Fundraising Well over the course of my 26 years in the nonprofit sector and securing more than a half-billion in funding for great causes. I’m excited to share these lessons, insightful trends and data, and coach some of NJ’s nonprofit champions to make big asks easy…and successful!”
Workshop highlights include understanding the core principles behind sustainable fundraising and its importance for non-profit success, learning to cultivate authentic, long-term connections with donors, and crafting clear, powerful fundraising pitches that inspire action.
