AUSTIN, Texas — September 12, 2025 — Valentina Gomez, the 26-year-old Republican firebrand running for Texas’s 31st Congressional District, has ignited a firestorm with a series of inflammatory X posts calling for executions, public killings, and the outright “ending” of Islam in the state. The Colombian-born former NCAA swimmer and self-described “truth-teller” has amassed over 530,000 followers on the platform, where her unfiltered rants against Muslims, immigrants, and Democrats have drawn accusations of inciting violence.

Now, in a stark pivot, Gomez is publicly pleading for protection, citing death threats, a near-fatal attack on her father, and the poisoning of her dogs—threats she links directly to her provocative online crusade.Gomez’s rhetoric escalated dramatically in recent months, blending anti-Islam fervor with demands for lethal retribution against perceived enemies. Her posts, often accompanied by videos of flamethrowers or mock executions, have been condemned by civil rights groups as hate speech that endangers lives.

This isn’t campaigning; it’s a call to arms,” said CAIR Texas Director Zaheer Ali, who called for an FBI investigation into whether her statements violate platform rules or federal laws on threats. Gomez, however, frames her words as “defending Christian America” and has vowed to continue, even as she begs for safeguards. The controversy peaked following the September 10 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, which Gomez weaponized in her latest tirade.

Here’s a rundown of her most explicit calls for violence, drawn from her X activity:

“Charlie Kirk’s assassin MUST be publicly executed. His two children will grow up without a father because a lunatic didn’t agree with him politically. We need to be quicker with capital punishment. Posted hours after Kirk’s killing, directly demanding the public execution of the accused shooter and blaming Democrats for “shooting up” events. The post garnered over 900 likes and 127 reposts in its first hours.

“Nobody is coming to save us. Stay strapped.”

Posted amid account restrictions, urging followers to arm themselves against “the establishment.”

These posts, spanning from late 2024 to yesterday, have racked up millions of views and drawn rebukes from across the political spectrum. The Anti-Defamation League labeled her Quran-burning stunt “a dangerous escalation,” while Texas GOP leaders have distanced themselves, with one anonymous operative telling AP, “She’s toxic—great for clicks, bad for ballots.”
But on September 11, Gomez’s tone shifted amid personal peril. In a lengthy post that exploded with over 60,000 likes, she detailed a cascade of threats: “I am officially seeking protection. My father was almost assassinated, my dogs were poisoned, and multiple Death Threats & calls for my assassination have been made.”

She tagged FBI Director Kash Patel, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and others, claiming the agency “contacted me but hasn’t done anything.” Gomez linked the attacks to her stance, adding, “They shot President Trump, assassinated Charlie Kirk, and I am a target… I am a 26-year-old Christian woman who loves America and my life is in danger for speaking the truth.”
A follow-up reply to Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau amplified the plea: “I am officially requesting protection… my life is in danger for speaking the truth, just like Charlie.”

Sources close to Gomez confirmed the FBI visited her Benton Park home last week after anonymous calls from burner phones in Muslim-heavy areas like Dearborn, Michigan, promised “beheadings.” Her father’s arm was grazed by a bullet during a late-night meeting, and autopsies on her dogs revealed poison. The FBI declined comment, citing an ongoing investigation. Texas Democratic Rep. Colin Allred, Gomez’s likely general-election opponent, called her pleas “crocodile tears from a provocateur who sows the hate she now reaps.” Supporters, however, rallied: “She’s a warrior standing up to the radical left and Islamists,” tweeted Turning Point USA co-founder Candace Owens. As polls show Gomez polling at 12% in the crowded GOP primary—buoyed by her viral stunts—the question looms: Will her blend of bravado and vulnerability propel her to Congress, or drag her into court? For now, the candidate remains barricaded, her X feed a battlefield of defiance and desperation. “Evil is killed with a bullet,” she posted yesterday.

Today, she’s asking for one to protect her own.
