Several hundred Union City senior citizens were treated to a Christmas luncheon at the Colin Powell Elementary School on Saturday.

The annual event, provided by Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners, drew approximately 350 seniors, who enjoyed an afternoon of music and dancing, as well as entertainment by the Jose Marti STEM Academy Choir.  Everyone received a box of chocolates as they entered the gym.

The hot lunch was catered by The Graycliff in Moonachie and featured traditional Spanish and Italian favorites, which was served by the students enrolled in Union City High School’s Junior ROTC program.

It was a wonderful afternoon for everyone in attendance, with the Commissioners wishing the seniors a tremendous holiday season.

Enjoy the holidays with your families and have a very Happy New Year!!
