Some 800 West New York senior citizens were treated to a holiday party at The Graycliff in Moonachie on Friday afternoon courtesy of Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners.
The free, annual event featured festive music and dancing, as well as a terrific hot lunch and a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus. According to Commissioner Vincent Barrera, the event gives the seniors a chance to get out of the house and socialize with other West New York residents.

The seniors were transported to the venue courtesy of the town’s Board of Education.

The party went on until approximately 5 o’clock. Everyone had a wonderful time. The seniors will be back at The Graycliff in the spring for the annual Mother’s Day luncheon.
