A multi-alarm fire broke out at approximately 3:30 this morning on the 300 block of Hudson Street in Hoboken.  According to Hoboken’s Public Safety Director Ken Ferrante, firefighters found flames coming out of the rear of the six-unit, four-story building.

The blaze quickly went from two to three alarms.

Ferrante told News 12 New Jersey that all of the building’s residents were evacuated safely and taken across the street to Marine View Plaza.

The fire was brought under control fairly quickly in frigid temperatures, but crews continued working to address fire inside the walls and the roof of the building, containing it to just one structure.
No injuries have been reported.  The cause is under investigation.
