Get ready for Hudson County’s annual Earth Day celebration. It will be held in Jersey City’s Lincoln Park on Saturday, May 2nd between 11 am and 3 pm. It is a family friendly event with so much going for both kids and adults. And it’s free.
The event is hosted by Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and the Hudson County Improvement Authority. The theme is “Our Future, Our Planet.” It’s a reminder that the future is something shaped through the public’s everyday choices.
Among the activities are:
-
Bouncy houses, a live DJ, photos with beloved children’s characters, recycled arts and crafts, and more!
-
There will be vendors from local organizations and county departments, with information and giveaways.
-
The county will be debuting its “Weather Bus” for folks to explore climate change.
-
There will be a larger petting zoo with pony rides.
-
Free giveaways include plants, reusable bags and other green items.
