During Wednesday’s inauguration of Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner and the Township Council, the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police presented the Police Department with a plaque announcing its accreditation.
Weehawken’s Police Department is just the fifth in Hudson County to receive the designation.
Weehawken’s Police Department, along with the other municipal police departments will be out in full force ensuring the safety of the county’s residents during this weekend’s 250th anniversary celebration of American Independence.
