A Summer Reading Program Is Underway In WNY

To keep children engaged, West New York is holding a summer reading program at the town’s new community center located on Bergenline Avenue at 57th Street.

The program is free and open to all children in town. The intent is to keep children reading during the summer months so they can continue their learning process prior to returning to the classroom in September.

So far 67 families have signed up their children for the reading program, which will run through August 14th. Families who want to register their children may do so by visiting the library.

In addition to brushing up and their reading skills, the children participate in arts and crafts during the hour long session, which takes place every Friday morning from 11 am until 12-noon.
