Hudson County Business Resource Summit This Thursday — Free Event Focused on Government Contracting

Hudson County Executive Craig Guy is inviting entrepreneurs and small business owners to the county’s annual Business Resource Summit this Thursday, September 17, focused entirely on government contracting.

The free, full-day event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Hudson County Community College Culinary Arts School and Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City.

What It’s About

This year’s theme — “Government Contracting Unlocked: Access the Opportunity; Build the Capacity; Compete for More” — targets small and diverse business owners looking to break into or expand their government contracting work.

The summit, hosted by the Hudson County Office of Business Opportunity, brings together state, county, and local government agencies, business resource organizations, industry experts, and government contracting leaders in one room.

“Hudson County is committed to making sure our small and diverse businesses have the information, resources and connections they need to grow and compete,” said County Executive Craig Guy. “Government contracting can open the door to significant opportunities, and businesses need to know where to find those opportunities and how to position themselves to compete. This summit brings the right people into one room to help our local entrepreneurs do exactly that.”
