Hudson TV follows the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Code of Ethics: seek truth and report it, minimize harm, act independently, and be accountable and transparent.
Our editorial standards
- Primary records first: We verify every report against primary documents obtained under New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act (OPRA), municipal and county meeting agendas, minutes, resolutions, vendor contracts, NJ ELEC campaign finance filings, and court records.
- Show our work: Every investigation cites the specific resolution numbers, contract amounts, filing dates, and agency records behind our reporting so readers can verify them independently.
- Right to respond: We contact officials, agencies, and vendors named in accountability reporting for comment before publication and include their responses in full context.
- Independence: Hudson TV does not accept payment or favors in exchange for coverage, and advertising is strictly separated from editorial decisions.
- Editorial responsibility: All reporting published on Hudson TV is reviewed under the editorial responsibility of Publisher and Editor Julio Reynoso.
