It’s a tradition which has been growing and growing for more than 40 years. The Brian P. Stack Civic Association is holding holiday, toy giveaways with Santa at numerous locations throughout North Hudson today and continuing on Sunday and Monday. Thousands of children are receiving gifts, nearly 25,000 toys, as the spirit of giving is in full swing.
Mayor Stack told Hudson TV it’s much more than giving out toys. It’s showing residents that he and his non-profit organization care for the residents…that they are one, big family.

On Saturday, toys were distributed by volunteers at four Union City schools; Washington, Edison, Colin Powell and Robert Waters. On Sunday, toys will be distributed in West New York at PS#5, located at 5401 Hudson Avenue between 11 am and 12:30 pm; at PS#1, located at 6129 Madison Avenue from 12 noon until 1:30 pm; and at the PS#4 Annex, located at 317 66th Street from 1 pm until 2:30 pm.
