Allentown, PA Man Charged With Stealing Car In Hoboken

Arrestee: Raul Lopez 33 of Allentown, PA                              

Charges: Burglary, Theft of Motor Vehicle, and Theft of moveable property

Incident Dates: 02/13 at 130 pm

Incident Location: Dunkin Donuts Newark Street location    

Officers involved: Officers Anthony Rutkowski and Jonathan Lyons

On Thursday, February 13th at 130 PM, the Hoboken Police Department responded to 400 Newark Street on the report of a stolen vehicle. When officer Rutkowski arrived on scene he provided all other working personnel with the vehicle license plate, make and model of the stolen vehicle.  Soon after, Officer Jonathan Lyons stopped the vehicle in question in the area of 12th and Washington Street. During the on scene investigation it was determined this was indeed the vehicle and actor who stole the vehicle. The actor was identified as Raul lopez. After the victim took possession of his vehicle he was issued a summons for leaving his motor vehicle running unattended.

Mr. Lopez was charged with Burglary, Theft of Motor Vehicle, and Theft of moveable property.

Once the arrest process was completed Mr. Lopez was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility which was all placed on a warrant.

Everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
