32nd District Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez of West New York, who is employed professionally as an MRI, CT and mammography Radiographer Specialist, has been endorsed for re-election to the New Jersey General Assembly by the Health Professionals and Allied Employees (HPAE) union.
In a letter dated July 1, 2021, the Emerson, New Jersey-based AFT, AFL-CIO (HPAE) President Debbie White, RN stated, “Healthcare workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, require protections to ensure patient safety as well as their own. We recognize your leadership and shared vision for providing safe working conditions for health care professionals by supporting many of the policy recommendations included in HPAE’s report “Exposed & At-Risk” to improve New Jersey’s response to infectious disease outbreaks.
HPAE represents over 14,000 nurses and healthcare workers in hospitals and other health care facilities throughout the state. We will encourage each of our members in LD 32 to fully support your campaign.”
Assemblywoman Jimenez, who easily won nomination in the Democratic primary last month, successfully recovered last year from her own COVID positive diagnosis.
She has represented the 32nd Legislative District in the NJ General Assembly since 2012.
