Assemblywoman Angela McKnight (D – District 31), who represents Jersey City and Bayonne in the New Jersey Legislature, was recently honored by Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and the County Board of Commissioners for her years of community service.
The Assemblywoman, who also has operated AngelaCARES, Incorporated, a non-profit based in Jersey City, received the Rhudell Snelling, Sr. Community Service Award. The award was to have been presented back in February, but the pandemic postponed the event to last week.
AngelaCARES operates a food pantry, among many services, with “a goal to strengthen communities by enhancing the quality of life through empowering our seniors, their caregivers, and the youth.”
