Bayonne Man Sentenced To 37 Years For Sexually Assaulting Female Juvenile

Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello has announced that the sexual assault of a juvenile female over a 19 month period has resulted in the sentencing of a Bayonne man to 37 years in New Jersey State Prison.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, the Honorable Mitchell Pascual sentenced Jhaitan Snow to 37 years after he was convicted at trial in October 2025 of the following:

  • Aggravated Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Assault
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child                                                                                                                                                                                                        Snow was sentenced to 37 years in New Jersey State Prison for the Aggravated Sexual Assault charge, which will run concurrent to an 8 years sentence for the Sexual Assault charge and an 8 year sentence for the Endangering the Welfare of a Child charge. The defendant is parole ineligible for 25 years under the Jessica Lunsford Act and is subject to the No Early Release Act, Megan’s Law Registration, Parole Supervision for Life, Avenel Evaluation, and Nicole’s Law Restraining Order.

According to Mello, the crimes occurred at a Jersey City residence on various dates between August 2020 and March 2022. The female victim was under the age of 13 and was known to the defendant.

The State was represented in this matter by Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Andrew Baginski.
