Bayonne Mayor Davis Wins Democratic Primary To Become Hudson County’s Likely Sheriff

With the votes yet to be certified by the County, Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis, age 62, a former Bayonne Police Officer and past Detective with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, is poised to become Hudson’s new Sheriff when the General Election takes place in November.

Davis defeated 78-year old incumbent Sheriff Frank Schillari, who has held the post since 2010, in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary Election.
