Bayonne Resident Arrested For Stealing Audi

25-year old, Bayonne resident Starling Rosario of Avenue C in Bayonne, was arrested by police on Wednesday night and charged with stealing a 2011 Audi.  According to Police Captain Eric Amato, Rosario was taken into custody at 6:24 pm in the area of 30 Street Avenue C after an officer observed the car traveling in the wrong direction along 30the Street.

Amato says as the officer was conducting the motor vehicle stop, she was informed by dispatch that the Audi had just been reported stolen by its owner.

Rosario was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest.  During a search of his person marijuana was recovered from Rosario’s pocket.  Police also learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued from the Bayonne Municipal Court.

Also on Wednesday, Bayonne Police arrested 21-year old, Jersey City resident Markeese X. Beaufort of Clarke Avenue for possession of 50 grams or less of marijuana.  The arrest took place in the area of 38th Street and Kennedy Boulevard just before 10 pm.
