Beginning Monday, North Bergen Town Hall Closed To Most Public Visits

The township of North Bergen has announced, that due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases, Town Hall will be closed to the public beginning on Monday, November 30.  the only exceptions will be the Health Department and the Building Department, which will remain open to the public for in-person business by appointment only.

All other offices in Town Hall will be open for business via the internet, telephone or email and municipal employees will be available to assist you with your concerns.

If you need certain township forms, they will be available online at northbergen.org/forms.  Once you have filled out the form, you can either email it back or drop it in the box next to the municipal chambers entrance to Town Hall.

Tax payments may be made online by using the township’s website.  If you have any general questions you need answered, just send the township an email at nbhelpdesk@northbergen.org.

As with many other North Hudson municipalities, North Bergen has seen a dramatic rise in COVID positive cases over the past month.  For the past three weeks, new cases have reached nearly 500 each week.  As of November 26, there were 4,723 confirmed cases, with a total of 238 deaths.  Closing Town Hall is an attempt to lessen public interaction in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.
