While his identity has not been released by North Bergen Police, a bicyclist is listed in serious condition at a local hospital after falling off of his bike and striking his head on rocks along Granton Avenue.
According to township police, the cyclist was heading downhill on Granton on Tuesday, April 11th, when his tire struck the sidewalk, causing him to fall to the ground, striking his head.
The police are investigating the incident, but they do not believe this was anything more than a bad accident. No foul play is believed to have occurred.
