Bomb Scare Locks Down Kearny High School For Second Straight Day

Thankfully, it was another false alarm, but for the second, consecutive day, Kearny High School received a telephone bomb threat earlier today.  The threat was received by a telephone number with a New York area code.

Upon advisement from the Kearny Police Department, the school maintained a shelter in place while the police conducted an investigation. The police have determined that there was no viable threat and the school day has resumed on a normal schedule.

There were no injuries reported.  All students, staff and administrators are safe.
