BREAKING: A Shelter In Place Order For A Secaucus Neighborhood Is Lifted Following Police Activity

Details are still incomplete, but a Shelter in Place Lockdown Order for the area around Riverside Drive in Secaucus has been lifted as of 2:20 this afternoon.  The Secaucus Police issued the lockdown for all residents surrounding Riverside Drive, Osprey Court, Mallard Place and Blue Heron Drive because of police activity.  Residents were asked to stay in their homes and avoid the area.

Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller has referred all requests for information to the Newark FBI office, although details have not been provided.

According to the Daily Voice, the incident began shortly past 12 p.m., although “initial and unconfirmed reports say only that law enforcement agents were called to Osprey Place due to a barricaded subject around 12:15 p.m.  About an hour later, police told residents of Riverside Drive, Osprey Court, Mallard Place and Blue Heron Drive to shelter in place.”
