UPDATED: Male Body Pulled From Passaic River In Kearny

 **THIS STORY HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH NEW INFORMATION.                                                                                                                                                               Few details are currently available, but Kearny firefighters responded to the back of a shopping center at 175 Passaic Street at approximately 11 am on Wednesday morning and recovered a male body from the Passaic River.

The Daily Voice was the first to report the news.

As of mid-afternoon Wednesday, the Kearny Police Department reported that the cause and manner of death was under investigation by the Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, but did not appear to involve suspicious activity.  The identity of the deceased has not been revealed pending notification of next of kin.
