United States Senator Cory Booker (D – New Jersey) has announced he is suspending his campaign for President of the United States.
In an email sent to supporters, the Senator says, “It was a difficult decision to make, but I got in this race to win, and I’ve always said I wouldn’t continue if there was no longer a path to victory. So, I’ve chosen to suspend my campaign now, take care of my wonderful staff, and give you time to consider the other strong choices in the field.”
Sen. Booker added that more money was needed to continue his campaign.
The Senator had fallen far behind in polling in recent months, He failed to qualify for the most recent, Democratic debates.
