Collision Unit Investigating Crash In Harrison Which Seriously Injured Two Pedestrians

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a crash that seriously injured two pedestrians in Harrison on Thursday afternoon, January 8, 2026.

According to Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office was notified that two pedestrians had been struck on Woodland Drive in West Hudson County Park.  Responding officers found two, injured males, ages 58 and 48, both residents of Kearny. They were transported to University Hospital in Newark where they remain hospitalized with serious injuries.  The driver and striking vehicle remained at the scene.

This matter is actively being investigated by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.
