Congressman Payne Boasts Record Breaking Fundraising Quarter in Re-Election Bid

Payne Campaign Posts Record Breaking $390K Fundraising Quarter

Democratic Congressman Now Has Nearly $600K Cash on Hand Heading Towards Primary Election

NEWARK, NJ – U.S. Representative Donald M. Payne, Jr., (D-Newark) raised nearly $390,000 since the start of the year, a record breaking amount that represents the largest fundraising quarter of his career. Congressman Payne now has nearly $600,000 cash on hand, positioning him to have the resources necessary to communicate his message effectively and organize voters in Essex, Hudson and Union counties.

“The momentum our campaign is building is clear, but more important than the money raised or the endorsements we have announced is the support I’m receiving from everyday people in the community when I see them each and every day,” said Congressman Payne. “Democrats in Essex, Hudson and Union counties want a representative who will fight for them in Washington, and that’s exactly what I’ve done since I was first elected. I will always work hard to provide the leadership that the communities I represent deserve, and I’m excited to move towards the primary election.”
