The Hudson County Schools of Technology’s County Prep High School held an Earth Day Festival on Tuesday afternoon. The goal of the festival was to teach the students the importance of keeping our planet sustainable and healthy for all of us to enjoy.
The festival featured a variety of environmentally friendly stations operated by students from both County Prep High School and High Tech High School. These included a station where students were making tie dye shirts; one where they were transforming pulp into paper; another where they were planting seeds in pots which could be brought home to mature; making custom dyed reusable bags ahead of the May 4 state law banning plastic, single use bags; and a robotics demonstration.
The festival was sponsored by County Prep’s STEM Club.
