(BAYONNE) 一 Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski wins tonight’s debate by a landslide, delivering on key issues for Bayonne residents like quality of life, responsible development, her plan for a transparent government, public safety, and quality education. Despite the Mayor leaving the residents of Bayonne high and dry. Both Dr. Mitchell Brown and the Council President had a thoughtful dialogue about the important issues facing Bayonne today.

“I’m up here today and showed up tonight because Mayor Davis stopped doing his job, yet again the Mayor decided not to show up for the residents of Bayonne. I’m here because I’m not afraid to look residents in the face and answer their questions or share my vision for Bayonne,” stated Council President and Mayoral Candidate Sharon Ashe Nadrowski during the debate.

Mayor Jimmy Davis failed to show-up to the scheduled debate on Tuesday night despite multiple communications sent to his campaign team. Leaving a room full of Bayonne residents and 1,000 initial online views without any answers about his record or his plan for Bayonne.

“Mayor Davis, thinks that the best place to have a debate is in North Bergen instead of here in Bayonne in front of the residents,” said Dr. Mitchell Brown.

“If Mayor Davis isn’t here to answer the important questions from the residents of Bayonne and talk about the important issues, the choice is clear. Bayonne deserves a leader who will show up for the people and answer the difficult questions,” added Ashe Nadrowski.

This is another example of how the Mayor continues to abandon the residents of the Bayonne and fails to answer the hard questions. The people of Bayonne need a representative that will show up for its residents, not one that continues to hide.

Tonight’s debate was the only scheduled debate open to the public and held in the City of Bayonne. According to his social media, Mayor Davis was campaigning in Jersey City tonight.
