A number of the new cases listed above continue to be the result of substantially delayed reporting by the State, which officially provides the data to the City.

There have been a total of 10,162 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Unfortunately, our community has lost another resident, a woman in her early 60s who passed last month, after contracting COVID-19. I keep her and her loved ones in my thoughts. Hoboken has had a total of 64 fatalities.

Hoboken University Medical Center is currently treating one Hoboken resident with COVID-19, who is vaccinated but not boosted.

The statewide transmission rate remains below one, which indicates that the outbreak is on the decline, with each new case leading to fewer than one additional case. The statewide daily positivity rate for tests on Monday was 1.93%. All counties across the state are currently listed as having “low” rates of transmission.

Update from the Hoboken Health Department
