DON’T THROW PUMPKINS AWAY IF YOU LIVE IN HUDSON COUNTY

The town of North Bergen is strongly urging resident to NOT throw away their old Halloween pumpkins, and instead recycle them! On Saturday, a pumpkin drop off area was available in the picnic area parking lot at James Braddock Park. This program is sponsored by the Hudson County Improvement Authority, as they were on hand to collect pumpkins in a drive through format, making the dropoffs both fast and efficient. For anyone who was closer to the Jersey City area, the same service was simultaneously available at the Duncan Ave parking lot in Lincoln Park. If you missed today’s drop off, no problem, they will be back next Saturday at Gregg Park in Bayonne, and West Hudson Park in Kearny, from 9am to 2pm like today. Why throw away, when you can recycle?
