It was an historic run for the Bayonne Little League squad in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, but dreams of winning the championship came to an end on Tuesday night, as the Metro Region champions fell to the Great Lakes region champion, Hamilton, Ohio by a score of 5-2.
It was Bayonne’s second loss in the double elimination tournament.
Jett Bridges started on the mound for Bayonne. He pitched three shutout innings before he walked the bases loaded with no outs in the top of the fourth. He was relieved on the mound by Gabe Garcia Jr. who struck out his first batter before allowing an RBI single.
