The North Bergen Police Department is investigating Monday morning’s early pedestrian fatality which took place on Tonnelle Avenue at 91st Street.
Police say at approximately 5:54 a.m., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found a 52-year-old male who had sustained fatal injuries. The identity of the victim has been withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
