The fatal stabbing of an 18-year old male on Friday in Jersey City is under investigation by the Jersey City Police Department and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the incident happened at approximately 8:55 on Friday night in the area of Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street.  When police arrived on the scene they found the victim, identified as Naseer Munroe of Jersey City with a stab wound in his torso.

Munroe was pronounced dead at the Jersey City Medical Center at approximately 10 o’clock Friday night.  The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to announced the cause and manner of death.
