One week into the Hoboken Police Department’s new, Quality of Life and Fireworks detail and it appears the results are quite encouraging. Chief Ken Ferrante tweeted this morning that police received no phone complaints last night of fireworks going off after midnight in the Mile Square City.
Police officers Archilla and Quinones did issue a summons for disturbing the peace to a 33-year old man from Orange, New Jersey who was caught shooting fireworks off at 500 Sinatra Drive. The incident took place at 12:56 this morning.
Compared to last Sunday night, when Hoboken Police received 26 calls from the public for illegal fireworks, he new initiative is garnering positive results.
