Flanders, NJ Man Arrested Following Hoboken Hit-and-Run Accident

Hoboken Detective / Lieutenant Jonathan Mecka reports that 26-year old, Paul Holt of FlandersNew Jersey was arrested on Saturday evening at approximately 7:45pm in the area of River Street and Hudson Place for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, open container, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to provide insurance.

He was additionally charged with assault by auto for striking a pedestrian who was crossing the street. After striking the pedestrian, the vehicle fled the scene, however, it was later located by police in the area.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threaten injuries. Based on the driver being intoxicated and the victim sustaining injuries, the driver was charged with assault by auto.  Holt was processed and later released to a responsible party.
