Photo Credit: DeFino Family Rose P. DeFino, a dedicated educator for the West New York school system for more than 30 years, has died according to a Facebook post by her family. She served as a teacher for many years before eventually becoming the first woman to hold the title of Superintendent of West New York Schools.
Her viewing will be held at Vainieri Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 27 from 3 pm to 7 pm.
The funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Church on Wednesday, September 28 at 10 am.
