For the 6th year, Union City Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners welcomed an international ballet festival to the city on Saturday night. The American Liberty Ballet Company, located on 40th Street in Union City, presented a free, outdoor performance for the community.
The American Liberty Ballet Company has approximately 30 dancers, many from foreign countries, as well as local, American dancers. The Company was founded a decade ago by San Diego native Valerie Browne.
Saturday’s free performance of Giselle gave residents the opportunity to see a form of artistic entertainment they may not have been familiar with, while allowing the ballet company to showcase its talents.
American Liberty Ballet has an Academy with classes in Union City. To learn more about the Company, visit their website at AmericanLibertyBallet.com.
