Jersey City Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh gave a well deserved Facebook shoutout today to Girl Scout Julie Peters. Peters helped fundraise $10,000 to purchase 20 Eastern Redbud trees to start a memorial garden at Leonard Gordon Park.
Julie is a senior at St. Dominic Academy in Jersey City and as her scouting project she imagined a place to remember those who died of COVID.
in addition to her family and Councilman Saleh, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop attended the ceremony recognizing Julie’s accomplishment.
Once a month, Starting Jan 1st, 2022, We will be giving away up to $300.00 dollars for photos or videos of breaking news that get the most engagement on our Social Media pages.
