$225,000 will be distributed to 19 non-profit organizations and 36 schools in Hudson County to focus on arts instruction. Hudson County Director of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Tourism Development Gina Hulings and County Executive Craig Guy announced the grant winners on Wednesday for the 2024-2025 Arts in Education program.
The grant recipients are located in 8 municipalities across Hudson County. This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
In a statement, the County Executive said, “The arts improve the quality of life for all Hudson County residents. This program allows arts educators from local organizations to partner with county schools to teach children who would otherwise not be receiving innovative arts education. I’m immensely proud of our Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Tourism Development department for their work in developing this grant program and working with our community to make sure these funds get to these non-profit organizations, our schools, and their students.”
